The EnviroWashout system is comprised of 5 core components. These five core components combined, make EnviroWashout the best solution available for environmentally friendly washouts.
Hinged Hoppers
The hoppers are used to store extra concrete and sand left in ready mix truck chutes. The removable units are hinged on each corner, allowing for easy removal of the waste concrete.
Central Walkway
The central walkway allows the concrete pump operator easy access to the hoppers for cleaning and maintenance. The walkway platform meets industry regulations and is equipped with handrails for added safety. The walkway also provides a covered area to store EnviroWashout equipment, as well as protect the pumping system.
Pumping System
The pumping system is comprised of two separate pumps; the sump pump and the pressure pump. The sump pump collects concrete wastewater, or slurry water, from under the concrete hoppers. It then deposits the slurry water in the EnviroWashout forced weir storage tank for filtering and separation.
The pressure pump takes clean water from the forced weir storage tank, and pumps it through the water hoses to be reused for washing more equipment.
Forced Weir Storage Tank
The EnviroWashout forced weir storage tank is 100% enclosed to prevent any leakage and overflow which can comtaminate storm drains or rain water. It is constructed of a UV protected plastic material with a strength greater than 3000 psi. The unit is welded together for tighter seams and is breathable, preventing expansion or freezing due to weather extremes. Unlike traditional weir systems, the forced weir storage tank forces heavier particles in the slurry water to the bottom of one tank, allowing the cleaner water to move into the next tank. This process continues through a series of several tanks and finally into a clean water tank to be reused for washing more concrete equipment. The forced weir storage tank is safe and secure with lockable, safety lids located on each tank.
Control Box
The control box is located at the rear of the central walkway and controls the pumping system. It is a removable and replaceable unit for easy service and maintenance.
